Biography
I am Boluwatife David, a proud daughter of Lagos, Nigeria, and a junior at the University of Southern California, majoring in Economics and Data Science with a minor in Finance. My journey has been shaped by resilience, ambition, and an unwavering commitment to service. I came to the United States with a dream—to succeed, to lead, and to uplift those around me. Today, as a collegiate member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., I stand on the shoulders of the women who built this sisterhood, ready to ensure its financial future remains just as strong as its legacy.
Leadership
I am a dynamic leader driven by a deep commitment to service, empowerment, and community. Throughout my journey, I have embraced every opportunity to lead with purpose and vision, both within Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and on the University of Southern California (USC) campus.
As Treasurer for the Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, I have effectively managed finances that directly support our programs and outreach. I have spearheaded impactful initiatives as Chair of the International Awareness and Involvement Committee, Co-Chair of the Economic Development Committee, and Co-Chair of the Fundraising Committee, where I’ve worked to amplify our social justice efforts and secure resources for vital causes. On campus, I have served as Vice President of the Nigerian Student Association and Unity Chair for the Black Student Association, fostering cultural awareness and building strong networks of support for marginalized communities.
Why is she running?
Financial stewardship is more than numbers; it is power, sustainability, and legacy. Serving as Treasurer and past Fundraising Chair for the Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., I have seen firsthand how responsible budgeting and strategic fundraising can transform programming, provide opportunities, and directly impact the communities we serve. Financial strength must be cultivated, protected, and continuously innovated.
